Born and bread in the Bronx/Harlem, NY, Mookamilli (Mookie) is a musical prodigy with years of experience in the music industry as a singer, producer, dancer, manager, multi-instrumentalist, creative director and DJ. It is impossible to put him in a box and you’ll soon understand why with the upcoming release of his very first solo project stepping out from behind the scenes.

At a young age, Mookie’s biggest influences were Prince and Stevie Wonder—two musical legends who relied mainly on their pure talent. As Mookie phrases it, “You have to become so great at what you do, you have to become a pinnacle of inspiration... a one-man show!” This personal philosophy opened his eyes to the various paths one can take when pursuing a music career. It isn’t solely restricted to become just an artist, writer, producer or a manager. Every path is free for you to venture.

Mookie became a master of music through his great experiences and hard work. At the age of 17, already under the mentorship of the late Lee Aca Thompson, he joined the ‘Artist Collective’ as a performance instructor. Founded by the renowned jazz composer and multi reed instrumentalist Jackie McClean, the Artist Collective is a prestige performaning arts center in Hartford, CT. Several years later, Mookie began touring around the USA playing drums and keyboard for 5 years. Mookie was also granted
 the great opportunity to play the keyboard and tour with 50 Cent. In 2009, he began to collaborate with MBK Entertainment—Alicia Keys former management company—and continues to work with them. Yet, in 2011, he decided to start up his own production and management company, and so he formed Mook’a’milli Entertainment.

His management company has produced a Top 10 UK record, major radio play on national platforms like Sirius XM, opening acts for staple names such as Monica, Joe, Keyshia Cole, Bobby Valentino and collaborating with several top artists of today’s industry.

These accomplishments have grown his craft from all angles which will make him truly an artist-to-watch in 2024 as he launches his solo career as an artist himself!
