D’neah Allen (She/They)—also known as Dee Smoov or Deeno—was born in Queens, New York. She grew up in an African American, Irish & Dominican household that was already filled with so much talent from before they were even born. From the moment they opened their mouth, they realized they had that “little sazon”, as their Mema would say. Their mother was an R&B singer who sung background for artists like Donnie McClurkin and Mariah Carey. Their father was a vocal couch who taught artists like Faith Evans.

Growing up, D’neah stayed active in music, acting, dancing, drawing and streaming artists like Mary J. Blidge, Maroon 5, Dru Hill, Janis Joplin, Musiq Soulchild, Paramore, John Mayer and James Taylor who was their first live concert experience ever! Their musical taste has always ranged from R&B to Alternative Rock which makes them the versatile artist they are today. However, no childhood is perfect and she has seen their fair share of hardships growing up.

“I think my mom being so strict on me and having a rough past [is what shaped me into who I am today.] I had to learn from each lesson that I have reached so far in life and being homeless definitely humbled me.”

Aside from the guitar, D’Neah also plays the piano and the congas which was self-taught through countless nights of practicing non-stop. Their unwavering drive to pursue a life in the music industry has landed them opportunities to perform live at places like DROM, Old Mill Pub, Pride Festival of Allentown, Pride Festival of Stroudsburg, and many more iconic venues! In addition, she has released several singles and their first album in 2021 called “Hollywood”. D’Neah remains active on social media platforms, posting frequent cover videos, which has gone viral three times on Tik Tok with over 100K views.

In 2022, D’neah signed under the management of MME Entertainment based in New York City. With the support and guidance of Stuart ‘Mookie’ Sanders (manager, producers, writer) and Germain Joyner (manager), she is sure to excel to bigger and better things in the near future. With such a grounded background, hustling her way through not just the music industry, but life itself, she is ready to take over this music industry. Their undeniable musicianship, down-to-earth vibe and powerhouse vocals will draw you in from the very first note.

“My message to the world is no matter what lifestyle you come from, you can make it out and you’re not alone. I wanna touch the world with my heart and my music is a piece of my heart. It’s the only [thing] I can give to everyone that will reach everyone somehow as if it were a gift.”
